Here is a really remarkable clip that MoSpanksnhugs was able to find - thanks!
It is from The Carol Burnett Show - Season 7, Episode 19 from 1974 to be precise.
Guest Joel Grey and Carol Burnett are playing the part of the puppets Punch and Judy. The other guest star is Vincent Price.
And Punch and Judy tell us the secret of their ongoing love!

I never saw that episode although I was a fan. I wonder how many more fantasies it would have launched if I had.
This was a very elaborate production number. The framing element, "Comedy Tonight" was taken from the musical "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum" (in which Joel Grey was originally cast before being replaced). I can't identify where they got the other music that was used for the duet - it's hard to believe that Peter Matz (I think that was the conductor's name) did it all.
But what is truly remarkable is that instead of just Judy whacking Punch on the head, which of course was the tradition for these shows, Punch gets in a goodly number of swats to Judy's behind - and this is extolled as the way to keep up the excitement in a successful relationship!
Then the dancers get in their licks - literally - including one pair using something close to the OTK position! And Joel gives Carol one final good swat near the end (so to speak)!
Really, this has to be in the top ten spankings from American television.
