To round out the Paulette Goddard/Cecil B. Demile connection... the unfortunate (almost) whipping scene. Yeah, there's going to be some aborted whipping scenes in here.

But then Ms Goddard got a fair share of on-screen spankings as we all know :D

Fair warning, this clip is very long and contains spoilers for the film, which if you're like me and enjoy a good, bad movie, I'd highly recommend.

Kind of a fitting time for reference to this schizophrenic post-apocalyptic film, in which my personal goddess, Sandahl Bergman... I mean, She ;), falls into the clutches of the cult of rival deity, Godan. Like any cult worth their salt , they intend to break She into subservience to their god. Her faithful follower, Shandra (Quin Kessler) is treated to the same. There's also a bit of self flagellation from Godan's followers, in the beginning of the clip.

From what I've read about this scene, a model is kidnapped by the whipper. She's tied up and filmed by another woman while being whipped. That's about all I can tell you with regards to the scene.

Flash Gordon (1980)

Probably long overdue, but the version that's up already is good quality. The scene responsible for kickstarting a whole lot of lurid fantasies for people of my generation. With Ornella Muti's stunning beauty and the fantastical over-the-top nature of the scene, it's easy to understand why.

Danger 5 (2011)

We'll keep with theme of whipping scenes from comedic tv shows and go with this Australian comedy. From Season 1, Episode 1, "I Danced for Hitler!". Natasa Ristic and Amanda Simons (the ladies of Danger 5) are captured by the baddies and as part of this torture chamber spoof motif, are being lashed in the background. It's comedy and is played as such.
