Mr. & Mrs. North

This picture obviously shows Richard Denning and Barbara Britton who starred together in the amateur detective series Mr. & Mrs. North screened from 1952 to 1954. Ms Britton would be around 34 years old in this picture.
It's very likely from this show or a publicity picture for it (but why the guy in the background?).
