In Season 06 Episode 1 two members of the youth welfare office complain about the lack of information about a young detained suspect. Which prompts DCI Ronnie Box (Simon Harrison) to threaten the younger one (Sara Vickers) with a spanking. While he continues to talk down to her, DCI Thursday appears - who happens to be the father of the girl.
I have not yet obtained an English version for this. It would be interesting to see if it's a spanking reference in this audio as well. We have had cases where that was not the case...
In the German version the quote is: "Ich lege nur zu gerne kleine Mädchen, die herumquäken, übers Knie"
which means something like "I do love putting little whining girls over my knee", alternatively "I do love spanking little whining girls"
