Spanking Cartoons

For purposes of this thread, I'm defining cartoons as drawings or photos with words attached, and attributed to the various characters in the image. Was that necessary?

What's a girl to do when faced with a choice like that? Sounds like she's probably going to find herself over his lap whether she marries him or not. But I suspect that if she really doesn't want that, she could safely call his bluff. But it's a sweet idea on his part. Father or husband, maybe what he really wants is just to spank her cute bottom.

Like he needs a reason to spank her?

When I tell you to lie across my lap I don't want any backtalk young lady!

A short story I wrote about the cartoon that says the guy will marry her mother if she won't have him. ...

I wonder if that book is "Fundamentals of Applied Psychology"?

One of the all-time greats:

Wonderful expressions, and a heartfelt and meaningful message, to boot. Now who says cartoons are frivolous?

Anyone know where this is from? I'm guessing "The New Yorker" or some other such snotty high-brow rag.

Ah yes - one of my top favourites. I love her joyful grin: "At last - a man who really knows what I need!"

And here's its sadder counterpart:

A fellow who signed his name "Kirk" was the artist behind several great spanking cartoons of the 1960s and '70s. I'll try to upload one of them here.

Nice one Dan. What was that expression "all's fair in love and spanking"?

This looks like an artist whose work we haven't featured yet in this thread:

Three more from that vintage period. Fascinating how open 50s cartoonists were about ttwd.

By special request (on another thread), a selection of Dave Wolfe's splendid work:

Those are great!

I particularly like "And in this corner"

and the Family Guy series

I'm wondering why I haven't run across Dave's work before.

This is a little hard to read. It's about a wives' club.
