Every picture tells a story -- "For Better or Worse" cartoon speaks up!

What a great scenario! One can well imagine that the grown daughter was none too thrilled to be told her mother intended on giving her a long overdue spanking for something she did when she was nine. But after all, it's mother's day, so it doesn't seem quite right to be refusing to do what your mother tells you, even if it does lead to a lot of embarrassment and a very sore bottom. Just look at the color that's already showing on the daughter's bare cheeks. And it doesn't look like the mom is through yet. I dare say this spanking is not just for breaking the dish, but for lying about it all these years. Looks like this will be a mothers' day to remember for a long time.

This is not the first time there has been spanking in "For Better or Worse." Anyone familiar with the Yahoo group BaredAffair may have seen the drawings by a talented artist called College Boy featuring characters from this strip.
Alas, BaredAffair stopped putting out new material in 2007 when the person who ran it seemed to have dropped off the face of the earth. BaredAffair was a spoof F/F spanking magazine-imagine the Onion writing spanking stories. It ran "real" feeling articles on spankings of celebrities, maternal discipline of teen and adult daughters, female athletes getting spanked and so on.
Don't know if the group I still on Yahoo or has been deleted for inactivity, would be worth checking.

Tanner, I guess that raises the question as to the authenticity of this particular strip. Perhaps it's one of College Boy's clones.

That was what I thought too. No way would we see that in the daily newspaper! And the strip's creator Lynne Johnston may not even be a spanko.
Spanking in the comics used to be fairly common though ,back in the 40s and 50s. The Phantom administered at least 3 sound bottom warmings (over clothes of course) that I have come across. I think there are some sites devoted to comics spankings though can't recall any offhand.

Hi Tanner,

I have been a member of `Bared Affair' for years. Yes it is still there, or at least it was last month when I revisited the group. When I first joined, I actually believed some of the articles, they were so convincing, and brilliantly illustrated. For those fans who are interested, join Yahoo Groups and search `Bared Affair'.

Kind Regards
