Guestward Ho! by Barbara Hooton was a novel published in 1958, that is an account of a couple's adventures running a western dude ranch and the characters that were guests.
The story involves a guest from Hollywood, some sort of wannabee actress, who by her dress and behavior, gains the name "Miss Ladydog" from the narrator, another lady who is actually the opposite in demeanor,"Miss Mouse", and a strong, silent cowboy type "Bill" who works for the owners.
Don't want to have too many "spoilers", but it involves an overnight camping trip by guests, Miss Ladydog coming on to Bill and being really cruel to Miss Mouse.
It ends up with Miss Ladydog getting a sound public spanking from Bill, who turns out is in love with Miss Mouse.
A great passage is when they all return to the ranch after, that describes Miss Ladydog's appearance and the way she walked,not wriggling and twitching her bottom as she had prior.
