The renowned German news magazine Der Spiegel features an interesting editorial this week - they've analyzed all the statistic data available to find out about the "average German"; Germany e.g. even has its own bureau for statistics, the Statistische Bundesamt; in the end everybody else seems to be collecting data these days, like insurance companies, unions, market researchers.
Anyway, they came up with some interesting results on the Germans' sex life, too:
59 percent of all Germans between 35 and 44 years use sex toys to spice up their sex life, every fifth woman owns a vibrator.
And here's the really interesting fact: almost 15 percent of the population is into bondage and SM.
I wouldn't have expected this number really; my guess (combined with a little wishful thinking) would have been 10% at most. So if you're going out tonight, count the people you meet. Every seventh might be open-minded to your kink !
