La Fille Mal Gardee

I have repeatedly mentioned the ballet play "La Fille Mal Gardee" which has a spanking on stage.
But - as I had to notice - some directors find a way to have the spanking interrupted before it even begins.
This can be seen in this clip from 2005, Royal Ballet London. The ballerina is Marianela Núñez. Quite a shame she is not spanked, really.

Yes I hate this sort of thing. It just seems so wimpish and cowardly. Of course there are many other examples of the same sort of thing.
