Seems like soft leather to me.

Even if it is soft leather it certainly shows the right idea. I find this sort of thing very encouraging as it shows spanking has a place in the Chinese imagination. Also Chinese women are so very, very beautiful.

I didnt mean "soft" as easy to take.. it just relate to the flexible bending of the paddle.

By the way it is flexing probably a product made from the sap of the Ficus elastica or to be less pretentious, rubber

SpankedHortic concludes it's rubber based on the way it flexes. Listening carefully to the sound, I agree - it may well be a foam rubber prop. Not that they actually used foam rubber paddles in China, of course - I know they used leather whips and bamboo rods, and perhaps they had some variation of the wood paddle like that used in Korea.
