Hot Spanking Rod (2018)

Just in time for Christmas...

I honestly don't know what to make of this series as a whole. I bought it years ago on Amazon (because, like I'm not going to buy something called "Hot Spanking Rod") and the plot summary doesn't help much. I have a base level understanding of Krampusnacht and this seems to be a comedy series revolving around that. I will say, it's cut into 11, 10 minute episodes and there's spanking in just about every episode. I hate to pass the buck on my own entry, but I think Chross might be able to better explain this one and I'll just shut up and provide clips

Just watched the first episode and I'm not even sure how to file this

Is this low budget? A streaming series? Does it even have a plot? Or is it just an excuse to produce a spanking video

I'd say we should file it under "All the other clips"

Anyway.
The Krampus is not easy to explain because he/she/it exists in a different context depending on which part of Germany or Austria you live.

Most in Germany will identify the Krampus as the "bad guy" of Nikolaus.
Nikolaus, of course, is the original Santa Claus, in Europe. Usually we would have Nikolaus day on December 5th or 6th and then the Christkind (christ child) on Christmas.
So today a majority is having the "Weihnachtsmann" on Christmas which is nothing but the German version of the American / Coca Cola invention Santa Clause.
So basically Santa Clause is somewhat often making a double appearance in Germany.
Both are sturdy figures with a white beard and a red coat as well...
The usual Nikolaus in yesteryears would have a birch for the bad children and a bag with sweets and nuts for the good ones.

But traditionally Nikolaus would not punish the bad ones himself (since he's the good cop). He would have support at his side to take care of the spoilt kids.
In the rest of Germany this would be "Knecht Ruprecht" (Servant Rupert) - a normal, yet still scary guy while in the Southern parts it would become the "Krampus"
This Krampus tradition would also extend to other countries like Hungary and the former Yugoslavia, Czechoslavakia and parts of Switzerland (sometimes called "Schmutzli" there).
The Krampus is scary and depicted as some sort of demon / devil. Often there's not just one, but a group of those creatures roaming the streets to find the naughty ones.
I must not describe the appearance any further since you can just watch the clips which are fairly accurate I guess.
Also there are traditions of groups of disguised "Krampus" devils roaming the streets ("Krampuslaufen") . In some of those events the birches are also put to use which of course has raised criticism in the last years.

I don't know what it is... if I had to guess, it seems like it was supposed to be a movie that was then supposed to be turned into a web series, judging by the length of each episode. I really don't have a clue though.

Episode 7: the boyfriend (?) complains a lot about the Krampus spanking the girl neither long nor hard enough, even insulting him at times.
